Bebe compares himself to Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Manchester United striker Bebe believes his game has similarities with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bebe joined Man United in 2010 in a surprise £7m move but he only made a handful of appearances before leaving on a permanent basis in 2014. He is widely regarded to be one of the worst signings in the club’s history.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo is considered to be one of the two best players in the world having enjoyed a long and successful career at United and Real Madrid.

Bebe raised a few eyebrows by comparing himself to Ronaldo in a recent interview with AS.

When asked who his idol was, Bebe said: ”(Didier) Drogba, but also Cristiano because he’s Portuguese.

“I have the same way of running, and the same shooting style, he’s definitely a favourite.”

Bebe was an awful player and nowhere near the level of Ronaldo. He was often the butt of jokes at United and it was a relief when the club finally moved him on. Despite his shortcomings, it is good to see Bebe enjoy a new lease of life on loan at Rayo Vallecano.
