Adnan Januzaj came off the bench for Borussia Dortmund in their 1-0 loss to Krasnodar in the UEFA Europa League.
The 20-year-old came on in the 68th minute with Dortmund losing in order to try and change the game in their favour but despite his best efforts he wasn’t able to help turn it around.
However, he did have a couple of individual bright spark moments which is good to see but it’s a shame that in the end they didn’t matter as Dortmund lost.

Awesome play by Januzaj. Schmelzer finds Mkhitaryan, but he only hits the post. Dortmund hit Krasnodar's wood work for the third time.

Hopefully we can recall Januzaj

I like Januzaj more and more.

Januzaj brilliantly shifting the ball to the wide open man on his left in one fluid motion was a thing Hofmann would never even think of.

This is what Januzaj’s loan spell has unfortunately turned into – a cameo appearance here or there, a rare 25 minutes on the pitch sandwiched in between lots of bench-warming.
I’m not at all surprised it’s turned out this way given that Januzaj joined one of the best teams in Germany on loan, which is always a risk, but it still bugs me to see him sitting on the bench when Man United are crying out for something different on the wings right now.
