Subs: Romero, Borthwick-Jackson, Fellaini, Memphis, Pereira, Schneiderlin, Rashford

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reverted back to a 3-5-2 formation for the game against Leicester City this evening.

Man United line up with three centre-backs at the King Power stadium, with Paddy McNair, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind all starting.

Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young occupy the full-back positions, while Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger feature in midfield.

Juan Mata will play in the No.10 role behind Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial.

Van Gaal played three at the back in his early days as United manager but the tactic was widely criticised and he eventually abandoned it a few months into his first season in charge. Reverting back to the formation will be seen as a negative move and it will be interesting to see how it pans out. United can go top of the Premier League with a win over Claudio Ranieri’s side.
