Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo is a doubt for the game against Manchester United on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian isn’t 100 percent fit and although Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking says Gustavo can’t be ruled out, there is every chance he’ll miss the match.
Gustavo has only completed eight games this season so his fitness has been a big problem and unless he is match fit, it doesn’t sound like Hecking will risk him.
He said: “Luiz has to be 100 percent fit. Anything else would make no sense.”
It is in midfield where United’s injury problems are going to cause an issue on Tuesday night as well because Morgan Schneiderlin‘s absence is going to be a real blow. I’m hoping Michael Carrick can step up his game but he doesn’t have the energy levels of the Frenchman and it’s probably going to be a very intense game in Germany.
United’s injuries have really hurt us in recent weeks and that’s the case heading to Wolfsburg but hopefully our squad can pull through, up their performances and come away with a crucial win that could prove to be pivotal in the context of the season.
