Adnan Januzaj made a rare start for Borussia Dortmund in their Europa League clash with PAOK but it was one to forget in a disappointing 1-0 defeat.
The young Belgian started out on the right-hand side of a 4-2-3-1 formation with Shinji Kagawa operating in the No.10 role.
Januzaj had a chance just before the half-time whistle and forced a great save from PAOK’s goalkeeper but on the whole he will be disappointed with how he played in what was a rare chance for him at Dortmund.
Januzaj goes into the book – handball.

Hearing Januzaj is playing awful…

With chances so far and few between at Dortmund, Januzaj can ill afford to not impress when given the opportunity but that’s precisely what he did against PAOK.
His loan spell out there is turning into a bit of a disaster and we all knew that might happen. Would it be a smart move for Januzaj to return back to Manchester United and try to earn some game time under Louis van Gaal? Potentially, we could certainly do with a player who has natural width in their game.
