Manchester United have been dismal from an attacking point of view in recent weeks and this was no different against Norwich City on Saturday.
Man United enjoyed the lion’s share of possession at Old Trafford but a lack of cutting edge was glaringly obvious as the hosts were beaten 2-1.
The stats don’t lie and Louis van Gaal’s side have now mustered just seven shots on target in their last four Premier League home games:

United supporters have been treated to some scintillating attacking football under Sir Alex Ferguson in recent years but van Gaal’s style couldn’t be further from that.
The club’s proud attacking tradition seems to have been picked apart by van Gaal, who has favoured a more measured approach.
At Old Trafford on Saturday, it was clear that the players have lost faith in the style of play that they are being asked to produce. Something has to change at United and all signs point to van Gaal’s departure.
