Manchester United are plotting a move for Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Mahrez has been in sensational form for the Foxes this term, scoring 13 Premier League goals as his side have climbed to the top of the table.
Man United are keen admirers of the Algerian and are ready to test Leicester’s resolve with a £29m bid.
However, Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has repeatedly insisted that Mahrez is not for sale, along with Jamie Vardy.
United have looked dismal going forward this season, particularly in the last month or so, and Mahrez would go a long way to solving that problem.
The midfielder is tricky, quick, and has a knack of making the ball stick to him even when he’s travelling at speed. However, it is very difficult to imagine Leicester letting go of one of their star players mid-season when they are doing so well.
