Rio Ferdinand not surprised by Manchester United’s poor form

Rio Ferdinand has revealed that he was not surprised to see Manchester United’s poor performance against Stoke City on Saturday.

Man United put in a dismal display at the Britannia stadium and were deservedly beaten 2-0 thanks to goals from Bojan and Marko Arnautovic.

It was United’s fourth loss in a row in all competitions and the team are now without a win in seven games. Ferdinand wasn’t surprised to see his former club in such poor form:

Van Gaal appears to have lost the ability to motivate his players and the clock is ticking for him in terms of his future at the club.

Already out of the Capital One Cup and Champions League, United are in serious danger of missing out on the top four in the Premier League if they do not change something.

Jose Mourinho is readily available after being sacked by Chelsea and you get the sense that United will make a move for him sooner rather than later after the result against Stoke.
