News was announced on Wednesday night that Adnan Januzaj would be returning to Manchester United this week after the club cancelled his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund due to a lack of playing time.
For those who hadn’t been following Januzaj’s progress out in Germany, he had played a meagre 600 minutes of football this season with Dortmund and started a grand total of zero games for them in the Bundesliga. It was a terrible loan spell.
After the announcement, we asked fans what they thought of Januzaj’s return. As you can see, there was a mixed feeling among fans:
@PeoplesPerson_ more of a squad player+ little more depth…but he might be used more as a sub…will still prefer Lingard over him..

He should be on the right as first choice. http://t.co/BgwSO9plhD

Personally, I think Januzaj’s return can only be a good thing for the club. He’ll give Louis van Gaal another option and as Ashley Young and Anthony Martial showed against Swansea, a player who offers genuine threat on the wing by running at defenders with a bit of pace is a real asset.
I don’t feel Januzaj will be a regular starter for us this season because he’s clearly still got lots to work on but I’m happy to have him back and think he’ll definitely have a role to play as injuries are bound to offer him opportunities at some point.
