Guillem Balague has insisted that Manchester United can forget about signing Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.
Bale is said to be unhappy at Madrid following the Spanish club’s decision to replace Rafael Benitez with Zinedine Zidane.
The Welshman reportedly enjoyed a good relationship with Benitez and Bale is worried that Zidane will shift him out to the wing. Reports suggesting Bale was open to a move to Man United arose as a result but Balague believes the rumours can be put to rest.

Bale was reportedly made the world’s most expensive footballer when he signed for Madrid in 2013 and it is unlikely that Madrid would want to let him go so soon after bringing him in.
United are clearly in the hunt for a ‘star’ signing – Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar have also been touted as potential targets – but they may have to forget about Bale for now.
That being said, a lot can happen between now and the end of the campaign. If Bale is not used in the way that he wants to be at Madrid, it’s safe to say that he would be a central figure at Old Trafford.
