AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has dismissed speculation that rumoured Manchester United target Gianluigi Donnarumma will leave the Italian club.
Donnarumma is just 16 years old but he has enjoyed a breakthrough season with Milan, establishing himself as their No.1 keeper.
The youngster has kept three clean sheets in 11 appearances this term. Man United were reportedly preparing a €40m bid for Donnarumma but Galliani rubbished the rumours.
“He is and he will remain Milan’s goalkeeper,” Galliani said.
“We’ve not received any offers for him and if any were to come in, we would turn them down anyway.”
Donnarumma is an exciting young talent who will only get better and it is unlikely that Milan would want him to leave so early in his career.
United may need to find a replacement for David de Gea if the Spaniard leaves for Real Madrid in the future but the hope for supporters is that he stays at Old Trafford after signing a new contract in the summer. Louis van Gaal will want to strengthen other areas of his side first, with a centre-back and forward high on the list of priorities.
