Manchester United plot €40m Gianluigi Donnarumma move – report

Manchester United are plotting a €40m move for AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Sport Mediaset.

The keeper has established himself as Milan’s No.1 keeper this season despite being just 16, which is one hell of an achievement and indicative of how highly rated he is by AC Milan.

With David de Gea’s future at Man United still uncertain despite the fact that he signed a new contract in the summer, the club have identified Donnarumma as a potential replacement for the Spaniard.

Donnarumma turns 17 next month and has so far has kept three clean sheets in 11 Serie A games, conceding nine goals.

The youngster has been compared to Gianluigi Buffon and it is unlikely that Milan would let him leave as the future looks bright for him.

That being said, €40m is a lot of money for a 16-year-old and Milan may be tempted by the offer. United supporters would be hoping for rather more established stars to join their ranks, however, as the team haven’t been in the best form as of late.
