Andreas Pereira has admitted that he could leave Manchester United on loan.
The Brazilian forward has made seven appearances for Man United this season but he has only started in the club’s short Capital One Cup run.
Supporters have high hopes for Pereira and the youngster insisted he will keep working hard at United. However, he also revealed that he may need to consider a loan if opportunities do not come his way.
“Yeah but you just have to handle these kind of things. Keep waiting for your opportunity and I think that’s what I’m doing, and just keep working hard,” Pereira said.
“Of course you want to play every game, but I have been on the bench. When I come on I want to help my team, so hopefully next time [maybe I can start].”
Asked if a loan away from Old Trafford could happen this month, Pereira added: “Normally yes so we will see what happens.
“I want to stay here, of course, but you never know. We will see.”
Pereira is undoubtedly a talented player but United’s poor form has meant that Louis van Gaal has been reluctant to play him over the course of the campaign.
James Wilson left for Brighton and Hove Albion on a short-term deal earlier this season and perhaps a similar move for Pereira would be good for him in terms of his development. If United included a callback option they could bring him back if the squad suffered too many injuries.
