Manchester United are keen on Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi but they face competition from Liverpool and AC Milan for his signature, according to the Daily Star.
El Ghazi, who has scored eight goals this season, is under contract at Ajax until 2019 but that hasn’t stopped Milan from readying an £8m bid.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, has reportedly sanctioned a move for the Dutchman this month.
Man United plucked Memphis Depay from the Eredivisie in the summer but his move hasn’t quite panned out the way he hoped.
Memphis has struggled to make a real impact at Old Trafford and his situation may put United off from making a similar move for El Ghazi, who is of Moroccan descent, in the future.
That being said, United are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements and they may have to take a risk on a player such as El Ghazi. It could be the difference between salvaging their faltering season and fading into obscurity.
