Michael Carrick, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones all joined Manchester United fans in the away end at Anfield today against Liverpool.

The trio are all injured and unavailable to play for Man United but it didn’t stop them from making the trip up to Liverpool and joining in with the fans.

It might not mean much to some but for me it’s massively important to see the lads joining in with the fans and embracing the culture. What better way to learn what it’s like to be a fan than to join in with them in the biggest domestic game of the year?

To be fair, we could really have done with Carrick in midfield today. Marouane Fellaini was atrocious in central midfield alongside Morgan Schneiderlin and it made it almost impossible to pose any real threat through the middle of the park. The quicker he returns from injury the better.

As for Rojo, he would probably start if fit but Jones but might have a challenge to get back into the team. Either way, United are a weaker squad without all three being available so the sooner they are back the better.
