To say Andreas Pereira impressed for Manchester United’s U21s against Southampton would be doing him a disservice.
He was head and shoulders above his opponent and so much more accomplished at his age, 20, than those alongside him too.
He was finding it so easy that he started to show some of the flair which he is naturally gifted with, including a volleyed effort from outside the box which could have been contender for Goal of the Season had it gone in.

That’s a magic touch from Pereira; ball control, movement, vision and execution. He had it all and although I’d expect him to impress at U21s level, that showed a confidence level far beyond what you’d expect.
Pereira has had to wait patiently on the sideline for the odd chance but with our cumbersome attack struggling to create at all, Louis van Gaal surely can’t overlook Periera for much longer.
