Antonio Valencia has returned to Manchester United training at Carrington.
The Ecuadorian midfielder has been sidelined for the last couple of months after undergoing surgery on his ankle.
In his absence, Man United have had a few problems at right-back with Ashley Young filling in there at times, so Louis van Gaal is probably looking forward to having Valencia back and available to play.

For me, I’m not sure who I would rather have at right-back if it was a necessity – Young or Valencia. I think Young has far more discipline to his game and can hold a position better than Valencia, so I would probably choose him but it’s like choosing between a rock and a hard place as neither are natural right-backs.
Valencia’s best form at United has always come when he has played at right-wing and maybe that’s where van Gaal will utilise him more as this season goes on because we’ve seen how effective genuine pace on the wings has been for our attack. Maybe the old-style Valencia will return now he’s back in training.
