Arsenal lost to Chelsea on Sunday in a match which could have a big impact on the Premier League title race but there’s only one story dominating the headlines – Louis van Gaal‘s future at Manchester United.
In what looks like a brief, the press have collectively reported on van Gaal’s uncertain role at Man United and shed lots of new information on the topic.
Neil Custis says Ed Woodward knows van Gaal’s training ground regimes aren’t working any more having asked some senior players, meanwhile James Ducker says van Gaal was talked out of resigning twice in December by Woodward.
All in all, there are too many links in the chain to label it as mere speculation. To me, this looks like a collective based on information, none of which looks good for van Gaal in his position as United manager.
Following the 1-0 defeat to Southampton, could this be time up for van Gaal?
