Manchester United are considering a late move for Olympiacos defender Omar Elabdellaoui but believe there may not be enough time to complete a deal before the end of the transfer window, according to reporter Ian Abrahams.
Elabdellaoui, a former Manchester City youth player, is a right-back but can also play in midfield.
After leaving City in 2013, he spent time at Eintracht Braunschweig before joining Olympiacos in 2014. Abrahams believes Man United are in for the player as the transfer window comes to a close:
Hearing a rumour @ManUtd are in for Omar Elabdellaoui, my source is not sure if there's enough time to get it done today

Elabdellaoui is something of an unknown quantity and supporters might have been hoping for a more established name to join United.
However, with United in the midst of an injury crisis, beggars can’t be choosers and Elabdellaoui would provide depth in the squad.
Louis van Gaal has not been afraid to sign unknown names before, with the capture of Anthony Martial in particular proving to be a big success. Elabdellaoui will be hoping to make the same impact if he comes in.
