Manchester United have made an approach to Watford to sign Odion Ighalo before the end of the transfer window, according to reports.
Ighalo has enjoyed a sensational campaign with Watford, scoring 14 goals in 23 Premier League starts this term.
However, with Watford unlikely to let go of one of their prize assets mid-season, Man United may look to get another striker in on loan.
United are yet to make any major signings this window and supporters shouldn’t hold their breath when it comes to Ighalo.
He would be a solid addition to the squad but convincing clubs to sell in January has proven to be difficult.
It is clear that United are in for creative players, with Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez and Lazio’s Felipe Anderson also linked with moves to Old Trafford, but they may have to wait until the summer before they can seriously think about bringing them in.
