Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has confirmed that Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy will miss Sunday’s game against Manchester United due to injury.

Former Man United striker Falcao has been struggling with a muscle injury, while Remy has suffered a calf complaint.

Meanwhile, Hiddink revealed that new signing Alexandre Pato still needs to build his fitness and that Pedro has a slight groin problem.

The injuries mean that Diego Costa will likely lead the line against United at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea, currently in 13th place in the Premier League, have been in awful form for the majority of the campaign but they still have world-class players who can make an impact on a game at any moment.

United will need to be in top form if they are to take away a positive result from London but Louis van Gaal’s side should be confident coming off the back of impressive victories against Derby County and Stoke City. It will be interesting to see how van Gaal and Hiddink set up their respective sides for the clash.
