Louis van Gaal doesn’t believe he has to answer the press when questioned regarding the Jose Mourinho reports and has said they are simply inventing stories.
The news this week has been dominated after multiple sources including the BBC and Manchester Evening News confirmed Mourinho’s representatives had held talks with Man United.
On the contrary, van Gaal is standing firm and insisting those reports are simply lies and is clearly frustrated at what is happening in the media at the moment.
When asked about the Mourinho rumours, van Gaal said: “You didn’t speak with Ed Woodward or the Glazers and you are inventing a story and then I have to answer. I shan’t answer.”

United’s draw at Stamford Bridge leaves them six points behind Manchester City and we now have an uphill struggle at trying to achieve a top four finish, which is the absolute minimum to consider this season not a failure.
Pressure will continue to mount on van Gaal with every Premier League game that passes now without a win and the Mourinho reports will only continue to intensify, even if the Dutchman insists they are fabricated.
