Andreas Pereira enjoys himself in outing against Norwich U21s

Andreas Pereira was once again in fine form for Manchester United’s U21s during their 7-0 hammering of Norwich City.

Operating in the No.10 role, Pereira had plenty of space for the whole 90 minutes and it allowed him to operate pretty much however he wanted to.

His crosses into the box were dangerous, his passing was sharp and although Will Keane and Memphis Depay will take the headlines, Pereira looked extremely dangerous as well.

He should have scored another in the second half after being put clean through on goal but a poor touch lost the chance for him. That aside, Pereira was supremely comfortable against an average looking Norwich side and it’s not hard to see why they are only three points off the U21s Premier League bottom spot.

Moving forward, Pereira will want game time and there are now some upcoming matches in what I expect him to get it. We play Sunderland, Shrewsbury and FC Midtjylland twice before Arsenal visit Old Trafford at the end of February, so there’s surely some opportunities for Pereira to play.

Judging by how he has got on for the U21s, Pereira is ready for it and if he can keep up that sort of form, he’ll work his way into a starting spot in no time at all.
