Will Keane‘s phenomenal five goal haul against Norwich City grabbed the headlines on Monday night in Manchester United’s U21s 7-0 win over Norwich City, and rightly so.
Keane, 23, was scoring with pretty much every shot he had and his fourth – an expertly crafted dribble and chip which left Norwich’s goalkeeper floundering – was the icing on the cake for his performance.
With that in mind, do you think Keane deserves an opportunity to get himself some game time against Sunderland this weekend?
Personally I think the following three games after Sunderland – FC Midtjylland, home and away, and Shrewsbury – are far better games for Keane to play in but I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this potential XI.
I don’t feel Louis van Gaal is in a position to give Keane a start in the Premier League because of everything that is going on at the club right now but I’d be even more surprised if Keane was given no opportunities over the next four games following his performance for United’s U21s. After all, he’s now got ten goals in his last six games.
