Danny Welbeck winner against Leicester compounds miserable weekend for Manchester United fans

Danny Welbeck’s last gasp winner has compounded another miserable weekend in the Premier League for Manchester United fans.

The ex-Man United striker came off the bench in Arsenal’s important top of the table clash against Leicester and as soon as you saw him warming up, we all told ourselves what was coming next.

Not that it made it any easier to swallow to see our born and bred Red score the winner for Arsenal in such an important game.

Oh well. I suppose we were due to give Arsenal a leg up, after all they gave us Robin van Persie in 2012 who won us the league and enjoyed a guard of honour at the Emirates. Swings and roundabouts.

There’ll certainly be an interesting dynamic when Arsenal visit Old Trafford in a couple of weeks time after that winner from Welbeck against Leicester today…
