Manchester United are amongst 13 clubs who are looking to secure the services of Laurent Depoitre this summer, according to reports.
The 27-year-old has scored four goals in his last six games and played a key role in Gent’s title-win last season, hence why there are plenty of clubs being linked with him.
Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Man United all sent scouts to watch the Belgian side’s game against Wolfsburg in the Champions League.
One thing we certainly need to bring in this summer is a new striker, regardless of who is our manager, so it comes as no surprise to see the scouts are busy having a look at what is available around Europe.
While Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial are both good in their own right, we need much more strength in depth as well as an influx in quality. We’ve desperately needed a top class finisher for the majority of the season.
We’ll keep an eye on any further developments with the Depoitre story and see if anything else happens in the coming weeks.
