Manchester United fans hurled abuse at Louis van Gaal and their side following the dismal 2-1 defeat against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday.

Man United put in an abomination of a performance as goals from Pione Sisto and Paul Onuachu gave Midtjylland a deserved victory.

The result left United with an uphill task ahead of the second leg of the tie at Old Trafford next week and supporters made their feelings be known:

Fans paid £71 in Denmark to watch their side put in one of their worst performances in recent memory.

From top to bottom, United were a disgrace. There was no fight, no desire and they were made to look like amateurs by supposedly inferior opposition.

Ed Woodward has to be held accountable for not firing van Gaal in December. It has cost United their season, with things going from abysmal to catastrophic under the Dutchman’s shambolic tenure.
