Injured Anthony Martial set to miss Arsenal clash – report

Manchester United will be without the injured Anthony Martial for the Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday, according to MailOnline.

Martial hurt his hamstring during the warm-up at Old Trafford prior to Man United’s 5-1 win over FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday.

Louis van Gaal revealed after the match that Martial’s injury is not “too heavy” but he is set to be sidelined as United look to avoid a tear or strain which could rule the Frenchman out for even longer. A final decision will be made in the coming days.

Marcus Rashford made his senior debut for United in Martial’s absence against Midtjylland and he scored twice in what was a memorable display.

Martial would be a huge miss for United against Arsenal as he has been the side’s most threatening player over the course of the campaign but the display of Rashford has given supporters cause for optimism.

That being said, Arsenal will provide a much sterner test than Midtjylland at Old Trafford.
