Manchester United fans were captivated by Marcus Rashford‘s incredible debut in their side’s 5-1 win over FC Midtjylland on Thursday night in the Europa League.
The 18-year-old demonstrated his goalscoring prowess to the football world by scoring twice – in front of the Stretford End – to propel his side into the ascendancy and establish himself in Man United folklore. Supporters were simply ecstatic at Rashford’s performance:

In a misery fuelled season, this was a moment to make all those connected with United smile. Rashford, finally getting his chance in the first team, gave a powerful, confident first half performance as the home side scuppered numerous chances.
His second half display, however, is something fans will never forget. With United’s future in Europe looking precarious, Rashford – just 18 years of age – absorbed the burgeoning pressure and led the line with a kind of goalscoring instinct that reminded you of the glory days of Sir Alex Ferguson.
He took his two goals expertly, showing a poaching instinct that has so far eluded United for much of the season. Whether he’ll get more chances in the first team this season remains to be seen. But going on tonight’s display, leaving him out would criminal.
