Gerard Pique joins in Wayne Rooney’s mocking of Piers Morgan

Gerard Pique has joined in with the mocking of Piers Morgan after retweeting Wayne Rooney’s message to the journalist and television personality.

Morgan, who is infamous for his outspoken views on Arsenal on Twitter, ripped into his side following Man United’s 3-2 win over the Gunners on Sunday.

Rooney teased Morgan by simply tweeting him saying “hi” which was then retweeted by former United defender Pique. It was good to see those associated with United enjoying a laugh at Arsenal’s and Morgan’s expense:

Pique played for United between 2004 and 2008 but he left for Barcelona after it became clear that he was not going to get into Sir Alex Ferguson’s side ahead of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

The Spaniard has since established himself as one of the finest central defenders in the world.

Pique has enjoyed great success with Barcelona but he has often spoke of his affection for United in interviews. He is certainly welcome back at Old Trafford should he get tired of the Catalan sun.
