Manchester United fans were delighted with Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s debut for the club in the 3-2 win over Arsenal on Sunday.

Fosu-Mensah replaced the injured Marcos Rojo during the second half at Old Trafford and performed admirably.

Despite his inexperience and the fact that he isn’t a natural left-back, Fosu-Mensah didn’t look at all out of place as Marcus Rashford scored twice to secure a memorable win for Man United. Supporters lavished praise on the youngster following the clash:

Along with Fosu-Mensah, James Weir also made his debut for United, coming on as a late substitute.

In what has been a season of lows for United, it has been excellent to see such a high number of talented youngsters make their way into the first team.

Of course, Louis van Gaal’s hand has been forced somewhat following a slew of injuries, but he deserves credit for placing his faith in young players. The future is a bright one at Old Trafford.
