Manchester United fans found themselves once again thrilled with Marcus Rashford following the 1-0 win over Watford on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old announced himself to the world last week with two goals against both FC Midtjylland and Arsenal. And, although he didn’t score against Watford, his performance was a sign of even better things to come.

United fans, still on a high from Sunday, were enthused with Rashford’s display

In a game largely bereft of attacking enterprise, Rashford provided a welcome breath of fresh air. The teenager gave another performance that combined slickness with raw power in attack. He was very much the focal point for United going forward.

A more encouraging aspect of Rashford’s game against Watford was his heightened involvement. In a game that required grit and enterprise, the teenager gave a selfless performance, working tirelessly for every inch he gained with the ball as opposed to simply poaching a goal.

And, in an equally difficult second half, with his delightful link-up play and powerful running in full flow, Old Trafford purred at the sight of what looks like a promising talent in Rashford.
