Manchester United’s potential XI vs West Bromwich Albion: Marcus Rashford starts on the right

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford looked far more dangerous on the right flank against Watford and Louis van Gaal may be tempted to keep him there for the trip to face West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

Rashford started up top against Watford on Wednesday, with Anthony Martial on the left, but both players got much more involved when the team switched things around.

Rashford went from being on the periphery of things to one of Man United’s most dangerous players. The switch will be in van Gaal’s thinking ahead of West Brom:

Elsewhere, Daley Blind will consider himself lucky to keep his place in the heart of defence.

The Dutchman got away with some woeful passing and position against Watford but United do not have the luxury of options, with Michael Carrick and Chris Smalling doubtful.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah, making his first start for United, looked far more composed than Blind against The Hornets.
