Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Javier Hernandez has revealed that he still keeps in touch with his former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson. Hernandez was deemed surplus to requirements by Louis van Gaal in the summer and he was sold to Bayer Leverkusen, where he has become one of the most prolific strikers in Europe. He insisted Ferguson is still “very important” to him.

Van Gaal has admitted Daley Blind needs a rest and will be rotated this weekend for Man United’s game against West Bromwich Albion. Seeing as the defender has played the full 90 minutes in all ten of United’s last ten games over a six week period, it might not come as too much of a surprise to hear he needs a rest.

England boss Roy Hodgson has hinted that Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is in contention to make his squad for Euro 2016. The youngster has enjoyed a blistering start to his Man United career, scoring four goals in three appearances since making his debut against FC Midtjylland last week.

Guillermo Varela has been taken back by the reception his performances have received on social media since his breakthrough onto the first-team. The 22-year-old admits he’s motivated to repay the affection shown by Man United fans.
