Pictures: Rashford, Fosu-Mensah and Poole at school this week after Man United breakthroughs

If there’s one thing that would remind us of just how young the likes of Marcus Rashford, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Regan Poole are, it’s these pictures from The Telegraph.

In an excellent article, The Telegraph goes to college with the young trio and speaks with one of their teachers to find out more about how Man United’s academy starlets can combine education and football.

Rashford might have banged in four goals and picked up a Player of the Month award but he is getting his feet kept firmly on the ground by an education which is still so important for him to finish and finish well.

The career of a footballer typically ends around the mid thirties but injuries can savage the career of some of any footballer in the blink of an eye and that’s exactly why education is so crucial. Without it, all your eggs are in one basket.

Can you imagine being Rashford last week? Scoring four goals on Thursday and Sunday and then going back into school for double Chemistry followed by R.E? It’s hilariously wonderful.

What I love about this article from The Telegraph is how much it make you recognise their age and just how young they are. I was busy using fake ID’s to get into clubs at 17, these lads were already busy with their careers.

The innocence and fearless attitude of younger players is what has drove United forward in recent weeks and we need to make sure we keep that same approach going into a huge month of fixtures in March.
