David de Gea ready for huge Liverpool clash in Europa League

David de Gea is excited to face Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday night but he’s probably going to be in for a very busy game at Anfield.

Louis van Gaal‘s side are heading Liverpool for their first ever meeting with them in a European competition and it’s going to be a huge night.

In our four wins on the bounce under van Gaal against Liverpool, De Gea has been crucial in all of them and I expect it to be no different in this game because they will get plenty of chances to score. At least he sounds ready for it.

It doesn’t really matter what the occasion is or what has happened up until that point in the season, United against Liverpool is always the biggest game of the year. It’s what we look first when the fixtures are released and the fact it’s our first clash in Europe makes it all the more special.

Neither team will want to head into that second leg at Old Trafford off the back of a loss so it could be a tactical, slow game but if something lights fire underneath it and there is some early action, there is every chance it could turn into a toe-to-toe classic we talk about for decades.
