Memphis Depay and Daley Blind named in Netherlands squad for friendlies

Manchester United duo Memphis Depay and Daley Blind have been named in the Netherlands squad for the friendlies against France and England in the upcoming international break.

Memphis has endured a frustrating campaign at Man United having failed to capture the form that once made him one of the most revered young players in the world at PSV Eindhoven.

Blind, meanwhile, has been part of a United back four that has disappointed in recent weeks. The pair will be looking to put their club troubles behind them while playing for Netherlands:

In Blind’s defence, he has had to contend with playing in an unusual position at centre-back this term.

Both him and Memphis would have wanted the season to go much better than it has but United as a whole have been poor.

Aside from Chris Smalling, Anthony Martial and David de Gea, nobody has really covered themselves in glory at Old Trafford this term and things will need to be much better in the future.
