Manchester United set for another summer transfer shake-up – report

by Sam Peoples

The futures of Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin are under threat at Manchester United as the club plans a summer clear-out, according to the Sun.

Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones and Sergio Romero, too, face uncertain futures following a disappointing campaign at Old Trafford.

Rojo and Jones have been injury-prone during their time at Man United and there is an argument that they cannot be relied upon to deliver on a consistent basis.

However, it would be a surprise to see Memphis and Schneiderlin leave the club.

Memphis has been in and out the side having failed to develop any consistency but it is clear that he is a big talent and it would be a tad unfair to not give him another season to show what he can do.

Schneiderlin, meanwhile, has impressed whenever he has been on the pitch. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been often enough under Louis van Gaal. With strong rumours suggesting that Jose Mourinho will replace van Gaal this summer, it will be interesting to see how United approach the transfer market.
