Louis Saha believes that Everton striker Romelu Lukaku would be a good fit at Manchester United.
The Belgian has enjoyed a remarkable campaign at Everton this term, scoring 25 goals in all competitions for Roberto Martinez’s side.
Lukaku recently admitted that he wants to make the “next step” in his career and play in the Champions League and Saha insisted that United should be in for him.
“It’s clear that he’s among the players who are capable of going to play with the top clubs — whether it’s at Manchester United, who are definitely looking for a striker, or with a club in Spain,” Saha said.
“All I hope is that he’s able to blossom and grows as a talent. He’s one of the players who could be key. He has the ability to weigh on defences with his physique and at the same time he’s very capable of scoring a lot of goals during the competition.”
Marcus Rashford has impressed for United up top this season but he is a young player and one that cannot be relied upon to deliver on a consistent basis.
Wayne Rooney, currently recovering from injury, and Anthony Martial are the only two viable options to start up front within the squad and it is clear that United need to add quality depth in the position in the summer. Lukaku is an excellent talent and he would undoubtedly be a success if he was to move to Old Trafford.
