Paris Saint-Germain’s Marquinhos will ask to leave the French club after being left on the bench for Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash with Manchester City, according to L’Equipe.
Serge Aurier, who insulted manager Laurent Blanc and various teammates in a Periscope video earlier this term, was preferred to Marquinhos at the Parc des Princes.
The move backfired as Aurier, making his first start since February since an indefinite suspension from the squad, gifted City their equaliser in the 2-2 draw. Marquinhos is said to have lost patience with PSG as a result:
L'Equipe also add that it is certain that Marquinhos will ask to leave PSG this summer.

Manchester United were reportedly close to signing Marquinhos before he joined PSG in 2013 and rumours have suggested they will go back in for him this summer.
Man United are on the lookout for defensive recruits and Marquinhos would be an excellent addition.
He was considered to be one of the brightest young talents in the world in previous years but his progress has stalled in France. Perhaps United can give him a platform to flourish.
