Ander Herrera: It’ll be a great game against Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is expecting a great game against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane today.

Louis van Gaal‘s side are currently in fifth place in the Premier League behind Manchester City and know that a win today could be vital in the race for a top four finish.

The Spaniard has been impressed by the likes of Dele Alli and Eric Dier but believes the fact United have only lost one of seven matches played against fellow top-six clubs this term will help them.

“I think we perform better against top teams and always give our best, and Spurs is one of those top teams,” Herrera said.

“I think it is an important moment of the season because we don’t have many games left

“It’s good that we are in good form and we have to keep winning our games.

“It’ll be a great game. They are very strong and fighting for the title.

“Every player wants to play in this type of game and we will go to White Hart Lane to win.”

Today is a massive test for United. City away was hard but they are a team who have dipped in and out of form all season long but Spurs are a different kettle of fish. They’ve been so consistent this year which is why they are in the title race still and we’re not.

The breakthrough of Alli, the continued goalscoring threat of Kane and Pochettino’s team as a whole unit have been extremely impressive, so we’ve got our work cut out to get a result at White Hart Lane.

If we do, then we’ll have gained nine points from three tough games against Everton, City and Spurs and next weekend City face Chelsea whilst we have a home game against Aston Villa, so it’s all to play for still.
