Feyenoord U19s coach Damien Hertog has claimed Timothy Fosu-Mensah is “luckyLouis van Gaal is in charge of Manchester United due to the Dutchman’s willingness to play young players. The 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign under van Gaal this season and Dutch compatriot Hertog, is pleased that Fosu-Mensah is doing well at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho’s former colleague at Chelsea, Frank Arnesen, believes the Portuguese boss would abandon Man United’s philosophy if he replaced van Gaal at Old Trafford. Mourinho was sacked in his second spell as Chelsea manager earlier this term and is widely considered to be the front-runner to replace van Gaal in the event of the Dutchman’s exit.

Van Gaal has refused to be drawn on calls for Marcus Rashford to be included in England’s squad for the European Championships. Rashford has burst onto the scene at Old Trafford in recent months, scoring seven goals since his debut for the club in February.

Lastly, Ryan Giggs is among the potential candidates to replace Ronny Delia as Celtic boss next season, according to Mail Online. The Celtic hot-seat recently became available after Delia announced his intention to leave the club at the end of the season.
