Jose Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes visits Manchester which fuels further speculation

Jose Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes was in Manchester this week alongside Valencia owner Peter Lim visiting Hotel Football.

As co-owner of Hotel Football and Salford City, Lim regularly visits Manchester whenever he can and Mendes has certainly got plenty of links with the city too, least not the fact he represents Mourinho who is the talk of the town at the moment.

Mendes has already got plenty of influence at Old Trafford having been involved in deals for Angel di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Marcos Rojo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson and others over the years but this potential Mourinho move could be his most important as far as United are concerned.

Of course, Mendes also represents Renato Sanches – the SL Benfica midfielder who United are being so heavily linked to, with some reports going as far as saying a €60m move is near to being completed. Maybe he’s had a chinwag with Ed Woodward about Mourinho and Sanches joining. Alternatively, he might have just been visiting Manchester for a quick getaway?

With each passing week we get closer to the end of the season and for United fans that should hopefully spell the end of this long saga with Mourinho as we will get clarity on whether he is to replace Louis van Gaal or not. The same goes for Sanches as that rumour doesn’t look like it going to go quietly after being boosted back into life this week with fresh speculation.
