Louis van Gaal: No fresh injury concerns for Manchester United ahead of Leicester City clash

Louis van Gaal has revealed that he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Leicester City on Sunday.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Luke Shaw are still sidelined but the latter is said to be progressing “very well” in his recovery.

Leicester will guarantee themselves the Premier League title at Old Trafford with a win and van Gaal will be pleased that his squad is almost at full-strength for the clash:

As for Shaw, it is good to hear that he is on the road to a return.

The youngster suffered a double fracture of his right leg in Man United’s Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven in September of last year and there were fears that his season would be over. However, van Gaal’s latest comments will inevitably raise hopes that he could make a late return in the run-in.

United gave Shaw an extra game to aim for when they reached the FA Cup final with a win against Everton last time out and, if the medical staff deem him to be fit enough, there is no reason why the Englishman shouldn’t return to the side. That being said, every precaution should be taken with him in order to avoid any setbacks.
