Manchester United vs Leicester City: Predicted XI

by Sam Peoples

David de Gea – No Jamie Vardy can only be a good thing for Manchester United but I still expect De Gea to have a busy day.

Matteo Darmian – I think Louis van Gaal will drop Timothy Fosu-Mensah after his Everton performance because that’s what he does as a manager.

Chris Smalling Doesn’t really need explaining any more. When fit, he starts.

Daley Blind – Think he’s done a wonderful job at centre-back this season considering he’s not a centre-back.

Marcos Rojo Really don’t like Rojo at left-back but Cameron Borthwick-Jackson isn’t getting a look in at the moment, might not be fully fit yet.

Morgan Schneiderlin Up against Kante, there’s surely no way we can’t start Schneiderlin? We need genuine energy in midfield or Kante will run riot.

Ander Herrera – Definitely should be starting this one. We need to win the midfield battle and neither Marouane Fellaini or Michael Carrick offer enough off the ball.

Jesse Lingard – Van Gaal’s secret favourite player.

Wayne Rooney – Back in the team and doing well. Got him down here in more of a No.10 role rather than central midfield.

Anthony Martial Can Tony Martial score again?

Marcus Rashford Just fills me with excitement every time he is on the ball these days.

Formation: 4-3-3 – We’ve finally reverted to a true 4-3-3 recently and look much better for it. Why change it back?
