Manchester United’s squad looked sharp as they arrived at the club’s end of season awards on Monday evening.

The likes of Juan Mata, Luke Shaw, David de Gea and Matteo Darmian all suited up for the event, and their partners looked equally as ravishing.

However, there were some clangers. Marouane Fellaini’s shoes, in particular, stood out for all the wrong reasons:

David de Gea is widely expected to pick up the Player of the Season gong, although Anthony Martial, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind will also have an argument to receive the honour.

This season has been one to forget for supporters as United’s playing style has suffered under Louis van Gaal but it may yet end on a high note as the club have reached the FA Cup final.

They are also in the hunt to finish in the top four of the Premier League, but they need teams above them to falter following the 1-1 draw against Leicester City last time out.
