Manchester United must beat Norwich City on Saturday if they are to stand any chance of finishing in the top four of the Premier League and every one of Louis van Gaal’s players will need to be on top form at Carrow Road.
Van Gaal has hinted that he may make changes for the clash, but it may be unwise to rotate at such a crucial point of the campaign.
Elsewhere, Marcos Rojo may be dropped following his disastrous showing against Leicester City last time out. The Argentine was at fault for Wes Morgan’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw and he was lucky not to concede a penalty when he brought down Riyad Mahrez in the box.
Matteo Darmian might replace Rojo after the Italian scored against Crystal Palace last month.
Van Gaal should also look at keeping Jesse Lingard in the side, as the alternative, Juan Mata, has lacked a cutting edge in recent weeks. Lingard is much more incisive and his pace is useful in counter-attacking situations.
Finally, Marcus Rashford will hope to start despite his subdued display against Leicester. As supporters have seen on a number of occasions in recent months, Rashford has a knack of making something from nothing.
