Manchester United XI vs Norwich: De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Rojo, Darmian; Carrick, Rooney; Mata, Lingard, Memphis; Martial.
Substitutes: Romero, McNair, Borthwick-Jackson, Fosu-Mensah, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Januzaj.
Louis van Gaal has made three changes to the side which drew 1-1 against Leicester City last weekend. Matteo Darmian, Juan Mata and Memphis Depay have come in for Daley Blind, Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini.
The Dutchman hinted that there would be some squad rotation for this game and that’s exactly what he’s done. With an away trip to West Ham on Tuesday night, he’s decided to take Rashford and Blind out of the game.
On paper, we’ve still got a more than strong enough side to beat a Norwich team who have thrown themselves into a relegation battle but history has taught us that sometimes it’s game like this where you can slip up.
However, if we’re going to sneak into the top four somehow this season then we simply have to win every game and can’t afford to drop any points.
