Manchester United news round-up including Mourinho, Giggs and Rashford

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Ryan Giggs will leave Manchester United if Jose Mourinho is appointed manager ahead of him, according to reports. They claim the Welshman, who has spent the last three seasons as assistant manager under David Moyes and then van Gaal, will walk away from Old Trafford if they turn to Mourinho.

Paul Scholes has criticised Louis van Gaal for resting Marcus Rashford against Norwich City this weekend. Rashford has burst onto the scene this season scoring seven goals in 15 appearances since he was given his debut in February.

Teddy Sheringham believes van Gaal should be sacked if Man United fail to reach top four this season. The Dutchman’s side are currently one point away from the Premier League top four after they claimed all three points in a 1-0 victory over Norwich City on Saturday.

Lastly, Jesse Lingard believes Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney deserve extra credit for helping Man United win against Norwich at Carrow Road. Herrera started the match as a late replacement for after Anthony Martial who was injured in the warm-up and Rooney ended up taking the injured Frenchman’s role as a lone striker.
