Man United fans furious after missing out on top four finish

by Tanveer Arayan

Manchester United fans are frustrated the club has managed to miss out on a Champions League spot for the second time in three years.

City’s 1-1 draw with Swansea on Sunday means Louis van Gaal‘s side has to beat Bournemouth by a margin of 18 goals in our rescheduled fixture, so the top four chase is already over before we’ve played our final game due to it being abandoned.

David Moyes was sacked when the Champions League was beyond our reach, will the same happen to van Gaal?

If we were not in the FA Cup final, I would expect an announcement this week on whether van Gaal is going to be sacked but our trip to Wembley means any official confirmation is likely to be delayed that little bit longer.

It’s woeful we have missed out on the top four. The loss at Upton Park was a sucker punch but in truth our chances went in games like Norwich City at home or Sunderland away in matches we should have convincingly won.

Will van Gaal be sacked? A lot of United fans certainly hope so at this stage and after selling his process and philosophy to us so much, surely van Gaal understands he has failed this season as well.
